Erin was born and raised in Utah until she married a US Army soldier, which would result in a lot of traveling and even more moving. After quite a bit, Erin landed herself and her daughter in Tyler. Along with her brilliant daughter, Erin’s family also consists of a wonderful fiance who is consistently supportive of her endeavors - no matter the number of late nights or busy weekends it may require. One of those endeavors is our LGBTQ+ Youth Group, the Alphabet Army. Erin observed that Tyler had multiple thriving LGBTQ organizations serving the needs of adults in our community but recognized that this was not the case for LGBTQ youth. “They need to know they are not excluded from their community and peers,” often says Erin when emotionally reiterating the need for both the Alphabet Army and the Glass House resource center.
